200,000+ People Go “WTFCNN?!” in First 48hrs
Our launch of WTFCNN.com started with this TechCrunch story, thenwt the Twitter was all… a-twitter(?) about it. In fact, tweets are still regularly coming in at the time of this writing. In fact, it rocketed up /r/worldnews on reddit, scored well on Hacker News yesterday. Then it hit the digg frontpage.
There are evidently a lot of people who also go “WTF, CNN?!” on a semi-regular basis.
We added Fark (Kentucky, USA) to the dropdown of news websites so you can play the Is it CNN or Fark game to try and find the differences between their headlines. Fark appears pleased, as WTFCNN?! appeared on their frontpage, too. Now we just need CNN.com to join in…
Then there was a slew of blogs that also wrote up our ribbing of the self-proclaimed “Worldwide Leader in News.” Thanks to all of you who helped get the word out about this most recent breadpig project. There are more on the way!
Of course, Chromakode, the breadpig developer who built WTFCNN?! did a nice writeup on the geeky side of things. Breadpig is planning on open-sourcing this project.
